With a strong passion for jazz manouche and an urge to explore the music and cultures around the world, this is a band with ambitions. Hot Club Christianssand is a band of strong personalities and  instrumentalists that lives and breath for music. When you get the virtuosity and the playful violin with agressive guitars and a bass that will never let you go, this band is guaranteed to make you swing.

Hot Club in Africa
The band are challenging the conventional shape of the jazz manouche by exploring music and melodies from other musical worlds. With that in mind HCCH has gone to Africa, to Tanzania and Mosambique - teaming up with african musicians such as our long time friend Mahsin (Quanon and percussion). By combining the energy and the positive vibrations from Africa with the passionate, warm blooded jazz manouche we hope to bring even more into this vivid music. Our first attempt to fuse the european, arab and african sounds forming the sountrack to East Africa - can be heard on this website by clicking "sounds" in the main menu. The band are preparing or a proper recording session at Zansibar in near future. Hot Club Christianssand are made up by: Michael Smith Krumins, Audun Ramo, Sebastina Gruchot, Gisle Sandvand and Mahsim Basalama.
